Role: VP, Stress Testing & Capital Planning
Location: Central Florida
Our client is a well-capitalized, acquisitive, $10 billion+ Commercial Bank that has a dynamic Executive team and a great reputation. They have been incredibly active in bank acquisition, including a very recent announcement that further expands their Southeastern geography. They are excited to lay deeper Risk and Finance foundations by creating this VP-level role to support their continued, rapid growth; their goal is to potentially double in size.
The opportunity involves collaboration with the heads of Business Lines, the Executive Team, Regulators, and Internal and External partners and vendors. The job will be to coordinate and plan the Company’s stress testing program including, but not limited to, DFAST, Stress-Testing, and Capital Planning. First steps will be formation of a roadmap, then establishing & managing a team to execute the creation of models and assumptions. The outcome of these stress tests is crucial to the bank’s growth as it will measure, analyze, and report capital/liquidity risks among other key indicators.
The right candidate will have previously either delivered a DFAST/Stress Test submission or be deeply entrenched in a banks’ stress-testing and capital planning processes. Understanding of Regulatory, Treasury (ALM, ALCO, Liquidity, Capital), Risk and Credit are a greatly preferred. Project management skills needed, as are expert analytical skills. Role reports directly to the CRO and is part of the Executive Division.
